The GIX Innovation Competition was launched in 2016. As a global wide competition hosted by the Global Innovation eXchange (GIX), the GIX Innovation Competition has been making a significant impact worldwide in two years. It has attracted nearly 1,000 competitors from more than a dozen countries and regions, including North America, Europe and Asia, to participate.
With the theme of "Connected Devices", the GIX Innovation Competition calls for university students and young innovators to bring their projects that are original and technologically inventive, covering areas such as the Internet of Things, wearable devices, intelligent hardware, VR, AR, ubiquitous computing, intelligent sensors, natural interactions and related applications.
With the purpose of helping high school students better understand Tsinghua University, and getting an in-depth experience of the international and interdisciplinary feature of Tsinghua education. Since 2018, Tsinghua GIX (Global Innovation eXchange) launched the Global Innovation Camp for the best high school students nationwide, providing the students with the opportunities to inspire their creative thinking, cultivate their research skills, and sense Tsinghua's well-established academic atmosphere on the scene.
The Global Innovation Camp is aimed at high school students who are interested in information science. They are supposed to provide valid materials to show their English communication skills, good grades in school, and related awards of academic competitions.
In the ten-day camp, students will have opportunities to attend lectures with specialized topics, complete open-ended projects with their comprehensive knowledge and innovative abilities, and then present their outcomes to the professional judges. A certain number of outstanding students will be recommended to the undergraduate admission office of Tsinghua University.
