To assist our selection committee in better understanding this applicant, we ask that your reference letter address the following questions. Your recommendation is for use only by the selection committee.

1. How long have you known the candidate and in what capacity?

2. How does this candidate's intellectual and academic abilities compare to other students from your institution? To the extent that your knowledge of the candidate permits, please provided specific examples.

3. Please describe this candidate's personal characteristics and experiences that will contribute to her/his potential to take on innovation roles in the future. How does this candidate compare to others who have gone on to the leadership positions after studying/working/volunteering with you?

Video Requirement

Video Introduction

Please provide a short self-introduction video of no more than two minutes. Please introduce yourself in any style or setting you think best conveys your interests and personality. the point of this recording is to allow the committee to hear you introduce yourself in your own voice and style. A video taken on your mobile, laptop or digital camera will suffice. We do not expect or encourage applicants to use professional equipments, production or editing. The technical quliaty of the video is not as important as the content, but the committee must be able to see and hear you. Please save the video on YouTube, VIMEO, YouKu or a similar service that is readily accessible and provide the direct link to the page in the space below. Do NOT password protect the video.

Describe your professional interests and values and how the GIX will help advance your goals. Describe both your short-term objectives for the 1-3 years after the program and your long-term aspirations.


Transcripts/Academic Records

Applicants should upload copies of official academic records for every post-secondary university or college attended. If the transcripts and translation are not in English, you will also need to provide certified translations of these documents. Please combine all the transcripts and translations into one file before uploading. Official copies of these records will be required at a later stage in the process for applicants chosen as finalists. Be aware the encrypted files and file expirations may cause issues with Admission being able to review your documents.
